Historic C-Street Hosts Cool Night in August

On Friday August 1, 2008, Commercial Street will be hosting “Cool Night on C-Street.” The night will be filled with fun and cool activities for the entire family (including pets)! Various businesses and shops will be open from 6-10pm for the occasion.

The night’s festivities include games, cooling stations, live music, and cool treats and drinks!

A few activities scheduled are bouncy houses, provided by Jump Mania at the pavilion, Hudson Bryce Marketing will have doggie wading pools, Fusion Stained Glass Studio plans to have a duck pond and Underwater Worlds will have a Touch Tank Aquarium on display. In addition, prizes will be given away at participating stores.

Great food will also be available (inside and outside) at Peabody’s restaurant and Big Momma’s Coffee and Espresso Bar. Peabody’s is featuring musical artists, The Maxwells!, Cook’s Kettle will have live music outdoors and Big Momma’s will be hosting The Little Hoovers Jazz Band. Askinosie Chocolate® will have ice cream for sale with Askinosie Chocolate® toppings. They will also be featuring artist Hillary Croan, an art student from Missouri State University.
