Wednesday, July 9 2008 (08:15PM) | Location: Missouri State University | Posted by UDA | Special Events, Theatre

Make plans to attend the 45th season of the Missouri State University Tent Theatre. Tent Theatre is an outdoor theatre company that has been in existence on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield Missouri since 1963 and includes such famous alumni as John Goodman and Kathleen Turner.
The final show in the 2008 Tent Theatre season is Anything Goes. Billy Crocker stows away on the S.S. American ocean liner from New York to England, in order to win his love, Hope Harcourt, from her fiancé Sir Evelyn Oakleigh. Coincidence has it that Billy's old friend Reno Sweeny, a sexy Evangelist turned nightclub singer, is also traveling on the boat. Hilarious complications ensue when “notorious” mobster, Moonface Martin, Public Enemy Number 13, and his friend Erma join the mix hiding out from the authorities.
