The Downtown Springfield Association’s (DSA) mission is to cultivate and sustain a vibrant business community represented by a balance of retail, professional, service, dining and entertainment entrepreneurs.
We’re passionate about growing downtown by attracting businesses, retaining talent and meeting the needs of our thriving community. Find development resources here.
We work with our community partners to produce some of the area’s most iconic events: Artsfest, Taste of SoMo, Cider Days and the Downtown Christmas Parade.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure downtown remains a great place to live, work and play. That means advocating on behalf of developers’ issues, historic tax credits, safety initiatives and more.
Meet the team currently working to make downtown Springfield an even better place to live, work and play.
Rusty Worley has served as the Executive Director of the Downtown Springfield Association for 18 years. His favorite part of downtown? “Being a part of something historic, authentic and ever-changing.”
Hailey Magnus is the DSA as Communications Manager. She can generally be found browsing the local book stores or seeing a show at one of the theaters downtown. She also wants you to join her book club on the second Thursday of every month.
Marilyn Glorfeld serves as the DSA Events Manager. She is thrilled to see YOU at Cider Days, Artsfest and all of Downtown Springfield’s iconic events!
Aubrey Prugger is the DSA coffee enthusiast and resident vegetarian, but officially serves as Assistant Events Manager & Membership Coordinator. She’s pretty much the best person to grab lunch with and talk all things Downtown Springfield!
Rigby is the DSA Office Moral Coordinator, but fancy’s himself a security guard. When he’s not welcoming guests to the DSA office, he can be found napping, playing fetch or begging for butt scratches. Rigby wants you to remember to always pick up after your furry friends when Downtown!
Our Board of Directors is full of downtown advocates, community development experts and local business owners.
