The Downtown Springfield Community Improvement District (CID) is an investment that visibly improves downtown Springfield, Missouri by capitalizing on new momentum created by an influx of new businesses and investors; strengthening competitiveness by creating a cleaner, safer and more inviting destination; and establishing private-sector control and accountability to carry out enhanced services.

CLEAN
The Downtown Springfield CID maintenance works around the clock to ensure a pleasant, clean experience for downtown businesses and patrons.

SAFE
Working closely with downtown businesses and city and law enforcement officials to keep center city a safe place to live, work and play remains a top priority.

Downtown Sales Tax

The Downtown CID is supported largely by a downtown sales tax, which was approved in 2016 for another 15 years.
