Meet with your neighbors to read books that have recently been in the news. At the Banned Book Club, you’ll discuss the book, reasons for it being banned or challenged and ideas surrounding intellectual freedom. Teens age 15 and older are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.

October’s book is Flamer by Mike Curato. Award-winning author and artist Mike Curato draws on his own experiences in Flamer, his debut graphic novel, telling a difficult story with humor, compassion, and love.
