Full moons happen when the Moon forms a 180-degree opposition from the Sun, reflecting the Sun’s light for all to see. This opposition calls us to balance the way we assert our identities in the outer world and how we receive these experiences within —shining a spotlight of awareness on what has come to fruition since the last lunation within the same sign. The full moon signifies what we need to release in order to find balance after this culmination.

February’s Full Moon in Leo is a powerful lunation her to teach us the lessons in ego. The Sun, which will been in Aquarius, emphasizes setting aside one’s ego for the sake of the collective. Whereas the Moon in Leo reminds us that it is important to maintain one’s connection to self. This lunation calls us to find balance between both.
