Auditions—Sunday, January 5, 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. (Alternate audition date–Wednesday, January 8, 7:00-10:00 p.m.)

Youthfest Talent Showcase is a Variety Show FUNDRAISER for the SLT scholarship program! There will be one $500 check awarded to a junior or senior in high school the evening of Youthfest based on his/her performance in the Talent Showcase (evaluated by area arts professionals)! Other monies raised go directly into scholarships for graduating seniors who have in some way contributed to Springfield Little Theatre either on a performance or technical level. (Scholarship recipients are announced at the Frannies, SLT’s end-of-the-year volunteer celebration.)

There is an individual entrant fee of $20 that must accompany a Youthfest Talent Showcase Audition Form. (E-mail lorianned@springfieldlittletheatre.org to request a form.) Please make checks payable to Springfield Little Theatre. Please have your Audition Form completed and in hand at auditions.

Auditions will be held Sunday, January 5 beginning at 1:00 p.m. (We are also offering an alternate audition date–Wednesday, January 8 beginning at 7:00 p.m.) Please text or call 417-234-8001 to schedule an audition time.

Auditions will be held at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre, 237 South Florence Avenue. Please wear performance attire~your picture will be taken on this day to use in the program should you be cast in the showcase. (If selected to perform, we reserve the right to ask you to edit your piece for appropriateness of dress, content or time if necessary.) Be prepared to present the exact selection that you would like to have considered to be slotted into the showcase. We will be providing a piano accompanist for auditions and the showcase. Please bring your accompaniment cd if you will require a track for your performance. If you are using a cd, please also bring a copy that the theatre will keep to burn onto a master in the event that you are cast. No underclassman act should exceed 2 minutes. Junior or senior acts should not exceed 3 minutes. Please cut your pieces appropriately. (If selected to perform in the showcase, we will schedule a required coaching session for your piece and we do reserve the right to edit your piece in any way we see fit.)
The cast list will be posted Thursday, January 9 on our website at www. springfieldlittletheatre.org. If you are cast, we congratulate you now! Please contact a member of the SLT Education Staff to schedule a coaching session and please mark your calendars for the following very important dates:

Monday, February 17, 5:00-10:00 p.m. —Dress Rehearsal
~This rehearsal is non-negotiable. Please wear performance attire.

Tuesday, February 18, 6:00 call, 7:30 curtain—YOUTHFEST TALENT SHOWCASE
