It’s been a pretty sweet year on Park Central West. And it’s all thanks to Queen City Soda & Sweets.
This family-owned small business opened its doors in November 2019. This Saturday, Nov. 7, Queen City Soda & Sweets is celebrating with a One-Year “Candyversary” Bash from noon-6 p.m. Want to go? We’ve got the details. But first, here’s a little bit more about this paradise for our neighbors with a sweet tooth.
It’s Queen City Soda & Sweets, not Sweets & Soda. There’s a reason for that: bottled craft soda is a big deal to them. The shop stocks hundreds of varieties of soda. From colas to root beer, cream soda to ginger beer, grape to strawberry, and Monster Mucus to Zombie Brain Juice, there’s something for everyone.
Bottles go for $2.95 a bottle, or 6 for $15. And keep an eye out for special offers, including clearance sodas for $1 per bottle.
There’s a lot more than craft soda at 301 Park Central West. Queen City Soda & Sweets. Classic candy lovers will find some of their favorites, including bubble gum cigars, Cow Tails, Goo Goo Clusters, Pop Rocks, wax fangs and wax lips.
It’s not all novelties, though. They sell pick-and-mix saltwater taffy, bulk candies and chocolate. Queen City Soda & Sweets also sells treats like cotton candy, fudge and Crispycakes.
Queen City Soda & Sweets is open seven days a week for your shopping convenience. They’ve also switched over to their holiday hours to give you more time to shop for yourself or for your loved ones.
Sunday-Thursday: noon-7 p.m.
Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
The safety of their customers and staff is their highest priority. Queen City Soda & Sweets is maintaining rigorous cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces. Free disposable masks are available and social distancing is encouraged.
Now it’s time to celebrate! Queen City Soda & Sweets is proud to be Downtown Springfield’s craft soda and candy hub and they know they couldn’t have done it without their incredible customers. That’s why they’re throwing a party this Saturday from noon-6 p.m. (or while supplies last) to celebrate you. Masks will be required, in accordance with Springfield’s ordinance.
Bring a friend and celebrate the sweet life in Downtown Springfield!
