Gift giving is not everyone’s love language, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Picking out the right presents for the people you love isn’t always easy. Don’t feel bad. The Downtown Springfield Association is here to help.

We’re proud to present the 2020 Holiday Shopping Guide, featuring some of Downtown’s greatest retailers, restaurants, coffee shops and more. Once again we present Gifts for Kids, Gifts for Her and Gifts for Him. These are just suggestions, of course. Something in Gifts for Him might really be great for literally anyone. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box.

With the global pandemic making get-togethers difficult, we’ve also added a new category: Holiday Party Kits. Here you’ll find ways to celebrate at home with your family, or over Zoom or FaceTime with family and friends across the globe. It’s got everything from cocktails to-go from The Golden Girl Rum Club, to streaming options for Springfield Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Treat yourself to some holiday fun from the comfort of your own home.

But that’s not the only service we’re offering this December. We’ve teamed up with Incent Local on a web-based app that gives you discounts at some of your favorite spots! And it’s totally free, no download necessary. All you have to do is text “Downtown” to 833-344-0207 to get started.

The app gives you daily discounts to 5 Pound Apparel, Best Of Luck Beer Hall, Seattle Roast Coffee and more. You can also play trivia for bigger discounts! While you’re in the app, you can get the map for our Festival of Lights driving tour and the Team A.N.A. 417 Downtown Springfield Holiday Window Challenge. Once you’ve seen all the windows, there’s also a link to go vote.

Incent Local has made this app very user friendly. It’s a great way to support these businesses while you save yourself a little money.
