March 10, 2021
St. Patrick’s Day is always a big day for revelry in Downtown Springfield. March 17 falls smack dab in the middle of the week in 2021, but there’s no way that’s going to stop the fun.
Instead, we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Days, with festivities starting March 13 and running through the big day. Looking for a chance to wear your green? Here are some suggestions.
Start the weekend with a little exercise! The 10th annual Dublin’s Pass ShamRox 5K & 10K Run is a St. Patrick’s Day-themed road race that steps off at 9 a.m. March 13. It starts and finishes right at Dublin’s Pass on Park Central East. Enjoy the festive atmosphere, delicious post-race spread, beer, swag and live music. After the race, stick around for the 4th annual ShamRox BeerFest and live music. There will be live music outside from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Dublin’s Pass will be handing out free samples from its new menu. Headlining the event is Springfield faves The Mixtapes. They play indoors at 9 p.m.
That’s not all the fun you’ll find at Dublin’s Pass. Keep an eye on their Facebook and Instagram pages as they announce more St. Paddy’s Week events!
It’s a tradition more than a decade in the making: Drunken Bruncheon at Finnegan’s Wake. This year’s feast is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 13. Enjoy live Irish music from the Brothers Robertson. The menu is a winner. It features:
You’re going to get thirsty, but don’t worry. Finnegan’s Wake will be serving up green beer, Bloody Marys, Irish Coffee and Mimosas. Keep an eye on their social media for more details!
Downtown’s premier vodka bar has big plans for March 17. Inner Circle is opening at noon and will keep the party going all day. Their Irish food menu will include Reubens and Irish Stew. Inner Circle will also have specials on Green Bud Light, Guinness, Irish Mules and more. Can’t make it on St. Patrick’s Day? They’ll have drink specials and food available March 13-20! You can also add a little green to your wardrobe with an Inner Circle shirt for $20.
Green beer days behind you? That’s no reason to sit St. Patrick’s Day out! Head over to the Brewery District for a Bonsai Date Night at Classic Rock Coffee at 6 p.m. March 17. Each couple will receive a pre-bonsai juniper, tools and instructions, as well as a drink of your choice and a dessert. Are you a bonsai rookie? No worries. The Bonsai Guy will be there to guide you. The cost is $75 per couple. Singles and friends are welcome to attend as well. Spaces are limited, so don’t wait. Call 417-771-5143 to reserve your spot with a credit card.
