Sisters Kaleen Long and Kelle Rathe drew on family heritage to create J.L. Long Traders in downtown Springfield. This store stands where their great-great-grandfather operated J.L. Long and Sons Furniture Co., established in 1903. “Traders” pays homage to the western branch of their family tree who came from Wyoming.
J.L. Long Traders offers unique items ranging from paper products to vintage furniture in “micro-batches.” Small supplies of items they’ve either found and fixed up themselves, sourced from small businesses, or work by local craftsmen.
